OK the plan was to photograph the fireworks from the safety floor above the office - 25th floor, overlooking Victoria Harbour, northerly winds won't blow the smoke towards the camera, it should have been fine. What I didn't count on was the little diva I had with me. Within about 2 minutes of having set up my camera, tripod, release cable, etc, all I got was whinging, "its cold" and "my ears are hurting". So we retired to the warmth of the office, and I ended up shooting through the window. Not ideal, but I was quite happy with the results.
