I took this candid shot during the weekend at the LKF Julyfest. She is a promo girl for NowTV, ain't she cute?

nnn
Still no takers! Last week's photo was from the Hong Kong Brew House.
To the anonymous person who left a comment - yes, there are bars that are not noisy and crowded, but it depends a lot on when you visit them. On a Saturday night, when the US Navy is in town, its going to be hard to find a bar in LKF that isn't noisy and crowded.
This week's photo is taken in a bar in LKF. Can anyone guess which one it is?

Last week's photograph was taken in La Dolce Vita 97 Bar, in Lan Kwai Fong.
This week's photo is taken in a popular bar on D'aguilar Street.

Oh Lord Give Me Aircon
Sometimes it pays to look up! I have walked past this collection of aircon intakes many times since I have been in Hong Kong, but never noticed them before,as I wa too busy peering into the bars of Lan Kwai Fong.
Noticed them the other day, and took a picture. Very happy with the way the light changes as the reflections of the bar lights fade.

Sweet Life
Well, no right answers to last week's poser, but at least some interest was shown! The photo was of Bar George, the front bar was shown, and the clue was the white rugby shirt in the background, even if it was way out of focus.
This week we have a bar in Lan Kwai Fong. This one should be easy, even if you have never been there!

Nissan Elgrand - naff sticker
Some kind of promotional launch, last evening in Lan Kwai Fong. I have never seen such a fuss over a boring car!
Mind you with all the people carrying bunches of flowers, I guess there was some kind of celebrity involved, but I couldn't be bothered to wait and find out.

Fashion Shoot
I spotted this photo shoot going on in Lan Kwai Fong the other evening, so I grabbed my camera and took a couple of shots of the models from behind.

Traffic
Traffic coming along the flyover, onto Cotton Tree Drive. Long exposure without a flash to creat the white streaks of the headlights. I also like the starring of the street lamps

beer taps
I was a little surprised by the lack of response to last weeks bar quiz. Probably it was so easy, that you all couldn't be bothered to submit your answers. With the guitars on the wall and the tall bar shelfing behind as the give aways, I expected a lot of people to correctly identify it as Carnegies.
So, this week I am making it a little harder. The bar is on D'aguilar Street, and there is a big clue in the picture!

Slow speed high speed
These were taken in one of those paper goods shops in Western District. The first shot was taken at a slow shutter speed, the second at a higher speed.

etype jag 001
When I was a lad I always wanted to own an E-type Jag. This one belongs to the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu.

Blue House
On Stone Nullah Lane is this blue coloured building. Rumour has it that the only colour paint the council had left was blue.

Hong Kong Fireworks Display
The other evening I was camped by the HK Convention centre, waiting for the fireworks to start. I looked around and saw this photo opportunity.
It was taken with a wide angle lens, with a nice bit of bokeh coming from the top left corner.
Shame about the security guard who got in the way!

Bar of the week
New feature for this blog - the bar of the week. Every week I plan to post a picture of a bar in Hong Kong (OK I know that favours people who know Hong Kong) and you have to guess the name of the establishment. No prizes apart from knowing that you are a bigger bar crawler than me.
We will start with an easy one from Wanchai. Answer next Monday. Good luck!

Temple roof
I love the ornate details that you see on temple roofs. This one is Hung Sing Fisherman's temple in Wanchai. Apparently Queen's Road East used to be on the shoreline!
